If you’re looking for an outdoor Yorkshire wedding location with amazing views over Nidderdale then you’re in luck, make sure Braisty Estate is your first stop; it doesn’t get much better than this! New for 2014 it’s a private estate between Harrogate and Ripon with a site overlooking rolling hills and the spectatular Brimham Rocks just a stone’s throw away.

Here, you really are out in there in “gods’ own country”. It’s heaven for anyone who love the great outdoors and it has so much potential for you to make it your own.

Owners Andrew and Rachel had their own wedding celebrations there, opting, like many couples today, for a more unique and personal wedding experience and you don’t get more personal than at home! Rachel has lived on the Estate all her life so there only ever was going to be one venue! It was such a wonderful day that they have now decided to open their gates to other couples who would like the freedom of a blank canvas site in a beautiful and exclusive location.

The main site is currently the top field and suitable for a magical Papkata, tepee or yurt structure but within the field there is also a lovely old stone barn with capacity for an intimate wedding ceremony for about 40 guests or it could be used as a drinks station for post ceremony Pimms, cocktails or champagne reception- the perfect place for taking in the breathtaking views and admiring the sunset.

Or for a more natural ceremony you may choose to have a woodland ceremony held outdoors in Braisty Woods.

What I love about Andrew and Rachel is that they are a small family business and will always try their best to accommodate your ideas and requests, which makes planning your ceremony so exciting and unique. Having been there and done it themselves they truly understand what it means to be able to do it your way.

The old summerhouse could also make a beautiful backdrop and bring a piece of country estate charm to your wedding photography.
